Summary
There will be no more lies in the world, they say. That is the reason for all of this, for destroying all of the art and the stories of the world, for silencing the music and the voices that spoke up. It’ll be better like this.
Felix doesn’t know a life beyond the Eight Districts. They raised him, made him what he is, and now he kills for them. The worst part is that he’s good at it, at the killing, but he does what he’s told like a good little soldier. When he’s assigned to eliminate a group of insurgents calling themselves District Nine, his loyalty to everything he’s ever known is tested, and he begins to question the new world order and what it’s really suppressing.

Summary
Seungmin doesn’t come back to him mauled by violence in a casket, with cold ashy skin and his final words preserved in yellowed paper envelopes.
Seungmin comes back to him, walks to him, warm and breathing and speaking and alive.
Seungmin comes back to Hyunjin with his soul shattered into pieces.
And it’s all Hyunjin can do to cradle the broken shards.

Summary
Hyunjin picked up the stack of flyers and began shuffling through them, finally stopping at one with a sudden smile on his face. It was a fond sort of smile, one usually reserved for cute things like puppies; Seungmin was sure there was no club for that since dogs weren’t allowed on campus. Maybe it was dance? But he was already in his own team. The other boy presented the flyer with a flourish as Seungmin began to read the words.
He read it silently once, twice, before loudly exclaiming:
“What the fuck is the Betta Fish Society?!”
Or, the one where Hyunjin’s whipped and joins a school club just for Jeongin.

Summary
The light is flicked off by Jeongin's free hand, the darkness swallows them whole. The scent of Hyunjin's shampoo fills the bed, the entire room. It smells like something lonelier than he's ever felt. He closes his eyes and lets it wash through him.
Sleep abandons him very early on that night, without even visiting once. Even in the darkness of the night, with Jeongin's even breathing next to him, those three words stay stuck in his throat, on the off chance that Jeongin might accidentally hear them anyway and they'd ruin everything.

Summary
No one wants to spend their summer in community service. Unfortunately for Hyunjin, Jeongin, Jisung, Seungmin and Felix, they have no choice: the five of them are all stuck on this Community Payback scheme whether they like it or not.
(Spoiler alert: they don't.)
Community service is bad enough to deal with on its own, but to get caught in a freak electrical storm and develop shitty superpowers on top of that? This has got to be someone's idea of a joke.
Oh, and their probation worker wants to kill them. Go figure.

Summary
Felix presses the gas pedal nearly to the hilt, he watches the speedometer climb up, up, up, and then he changes to a bigger gear again. He hears nothing, and he hears everything – the blood surging through him, his heart pounding in his chest, the engine of the car nearly roaring. Felix swallows, he grips the wheel harder. He can feel sweat trickling down the back of his neck, down his back. Felix feels euphoric. Weightless. The speed is his aphrodisiac.

Summary
Kim Seungmin was dead.
He was dead. Irreversibly so. As dead as one can be. He was dead.
He was dead, and Hyunjin had been a guest at his funeral. In fact, there had been over three hundred people there, and even the press had participated. It had been a big funeral, but Hyunjin thought Seungmin would have deserved bigger. Something grand. Something that their little town would never forget.
But if Kim Seungmin was dead, then why did Hyunjin keep seeing him in the reflections?

Summary
Blue, all around him. Boundless amounts of blue, all the way to the horizon, where the cloudless sky met the sea. Little islands dotted the view, Felix could see the outline of another ship far away from them. The wind swept his orange locks away from his face, made his eyes water. Sunshine sparkled against the sea, nearly blinding Felix. Laughter bubbled up from the depths of his chest. Felix wanted to let go of the mast, spread his arms and shout from the top of his lungs.
