Eight years is a long time to spend as someone's captive. Though, Xie Lian is finally free, sort of. He was sent to spy on his captor's main competition, Hua Cheng. He's a pawn in a game and he knows it, accepts it even.
But the more time he spends in Ghost City, the more he feels that maybe he isn't a pawn. Maybe he's a much more important piece in this game.
