“Yeah?” Erik said, turning away to put the piercing equipment down and properly fitted into the correct spots.
“I am a vampire, Erik.”
“Yeah, good one, Jackie,” he replied, back to facing her.
“No, really!” she reiterated, yet she could tell by the look on his face that he didn’t believe her.
Erik humoured her words, but didn’t accept them, so she had to give him proof.
“Look.” Jackie grinned her teeth at him, fangs quirked up on either side of her lipstick-coated lips.

He let out a laugh at his bold line, eyes drilling right up to gauge Steve’s response.
