Ones absent of the warmth he felt swelling in his face. This time, there was something palpably different. In what he saw, in how it felt to set forth his gaze upon his features, but most deeply in the fear of a gaze reciprocated. If Will’s eyes met his while he was lost in the curves of his nose and the sculpture of his jaw, all Hell would break loose. Were he met in his recognition, he’d have no place to run. No basement to hide in or covers to cower behind. It would mean facing the boy turned man down the aisle. Then, his fears manifested when Will’s eyes caught his.
