“Yeah, you know!” Sora exclaimed. Even just thinking about it was making Sora’s heart skip a little. “Like first kisses, or a first date. Ooh, or holding hands the first time! Every time I’m near Riku now my heart starts thumping like ‘is it gonna happen yet?!’”
“Are you serious?” Kairi asked, squinting at Sora. “Sora, you’ve held Riku’s hand like a bazillion times. You used to drag him everywhere!”
“That doesn’t count!” Sora protested. Doubt flickered in his chest. “Does that count?”
“In fact, you’ve done all those things before,” Kairi said, folding her arms and leaning over the table towards Sora. Her expression was knowing, and Sora suddenly had a bad feeling about this conversation.
(or: 5 times Sora and Riku didn't have a first together, and one time they did.)

Summary
Satoru stares down at the texts. It's a bad idea, he tells himself. A terrible idea, even. Satoru's not exactly an expert on this whole mental health shit, but he seriously doubts saying yes to Toji's proposition when he's in his current state would be wise. Still, it's tempting — so, so — tempting. The knowledge that a scene with Toji would knock all of the awful thoughts about Suguru straight out of his head, replacing the emotional void he feels with physical pain. A kind of hurt that's tangible, less overwhelming and all-consuming than the oppressive sadness suffocating him.
It's a bad idea.
Satoru picks up the phone.
