Vi doesn’t like when Caitlyn touches her.
Now listen, it’s not that she doesn’t like Caitlyn. She does like her. A lot. A whole hell of a lot.
It’s not even that Vi hates touch either. In fact, she bets that if you were to ask Jinx or Ekko, they’d tell you that she loves it, because she touches people all the time. And that’s true, she does touch people a lot. She touches Caitlyn a lot too. A held hand, a snuggled waist, a hand in her hair. Vi loves touching Caitlyn.
But she doesn’t like when Caitlyn touches her.
Vi struggles with being a good partner.

Summary
“You were right, Cait,” The words taste like ash in her mouth, but she pushes through. “Powder’s gone. But I can make this right. If you get Jayce to fix the gauntlets, I can do this myself. No one else needs to get hurt.” Except for Vi, of course, but if she had the choice to take the pain of others onto herself, she’d make that choice every single time. It’s not even a thought to her, anymore. Just an instinct.
For the Vi fans who were underwhelmed by her season 2 presence. What if she was given the writing she deserved? And what if we were given the Vi-focused season we were promised?
Vi-centric partial retelling of season 2, but a little to the left*.
*Okay maybe a lot to the left. This fic will include some canon divergences, such as:
- Caitlyn and Vi argue over using the Grey
- Ekko and Vi talk Jinx down together
- Zaun is liberated

Summary
Zane wants to build a memorial. Zane wants to answer for what he’s done.
– OR –
A year after returning from the Never-Realm, Zane is ready to put all of that behind him. Truly. There’s just one problem—he cannot seem to let go of the feeling that there was no consequence delivered towards him, no evidence or acknowledgement of what transpired there. He just removed his ice and left. And there is no chance he will ever be able to move on without doing something. So, he decides, he will secretly create a memorial for every victim of his reign as the Ice Emperor, and when it is done, he will present it to the Never-Realm. It will be his atonement.
To do this, Zane starts to visit the Never-Realm every night to learn the names of the dead.
It does not go well.

Zane was used as a tool of genocide and the show will never explore what that truly means.
