Summary
Basically Avatar: the Last Airbender but gayer and Azula is with Zuko from the beginning because I love her and she deserves a redemption arc. This fic focuses on the dynamic of Zuko and Azula and Iroh together mostly, but will change as the series goes on and they interact with the gaang.
I added an OC that will not appear until book 2, but he's real and relevant I promise. There is also an OC in Book One mostly who is (spoilers) azula's gf.
Since parts of this are adapted from the transcript itself, assume any skipped scenes are canon scenes. Graphic descriptions of violence because there are fights and people probably die and I want to be on the safe side here.
Also Katara says fuck because she deserves it.

Book one ends with two major diffrences: 1. Sokka went on the mission with Hahn (it did not go well) 2. Zhao survives the North Pole and that proves unfortunate for everybody (except Zhao, obviously)
Imprisoned on Zhao’s war ship, Sokka and Zuko have to work together to survive. They are not very enthusiastic about this prospect.
And they argue.

The being behind him pauses and Arthur can't look away from the moment he's frozen in, staring at the dark mountainside, aching to see the sun rise just one more time.
One chance, the spirit seems to whisper, voice satin soft. Make the most of it.
