Summary
With Vecna opening the last of the gates, and killing Max Mayfield - Only for Jane "El" Hopper to revive her - Hawkins was split in four.
Vecna was now who-knows-where licking his wounds, and the only help the military has been is giving the gang an easy way in and hour of the Upside Down for Crawls, even if they found nothing. Yet.
There's a lot left to be faced as Vecna ups his tactics form his hiding place. Death, romantic feelings, the end of the world...
And to make things worse, everything they know about the Upside Down has been dead fucking wrong.
( or : a Season 5 fix-it-fic in Mike Wheeler's POV that gives better endings and also makes Byler happen )

Stephanie has to give up what she cherishes most. Or rather, who. Peter Spankoffski. Peter is…dealing with it the best someone who knows he’s going to die so close to being an adult can. Which is to say incredibly poorly. Having lost the only people he had in his life besides Stephanie didn’t help either. This should be some dream. A dream he can will away with hot chocolate and a tight hug from his brother. But it’s not that. Peter Spankoffski is going to die. Fuck, it really should’ve been his Pokémon card collection.

Summary
Everything was normal. Same shit as every day, day after day. Even so, Paul still has this weird feeling, this pit in his stomach, that something is wrong. It has to be some weird kind of déjà vu, right? There can't be any other explanation. Except he knows what his coworkers are going to ask, he knows the pretty barista's name and that God-awful production of Godspell Zoey and her theater-mates put on.
He doesn't realize the biggest thing until it's too late, though. Way after the meteor crashes into the Starlight Theater.
But even that feels familiar.

This is essentially my take on what Steve was thinking at the end of the fight with Dustin and the ladder scene. The ladder scene hit me so hard so I wrote what might have been going on in Steve's head as well as expanded on it, because we were absolutely DEPRIVED of more Steve and Dustin angst.

Summary
"Mike runs his tongue over the bottom of Will’s lips, and they’re forced to pull apart, but only because one of the lights above them literally explodes. They both take a step back, breathing heavy. Will’s face is wet, and he instinctively goes to wipe his eyes, only to realize that they aren’t his tears, they’re Mike’s.
“I hate when you yell at me.” Mike says, and he sounds so broken that Will wants to crawl into a hole and never let anyone look at him again. He feels tears prick at the back of his own eyes, and fights to keep them contained. He feels like this isn’t about him, even though he knows it absolutely is,
“I- I’m so sorry.” he replies, and he is. It sounds pathetic, even to him. Mike laughs, but it’s more of a sob."
Or
Mike and Will have a fight after Will comes out. Unresolved feelings ensue.

Effie's hand hesitates between the two slips of paper. She almost takes one, then grabs the other and unfolds it. Her voice cracks as she says, "The male tribute from District Twelve is Peeta Mellark."
And Haymitch breathes relief because for once, the odds are in his favor. He steps forward before Peeta can move. "I volunteer."

Summary
Ted groaned as he pulled himself out of the flaming wreckage. He was…admittedly grateful that Paul had stopped that crazy hive zombie from shooting them but he was allowed to complain a little but since it had then shot the top of the helicopter sending the four of them hurtling down to the ground. Ted didn't know what had happened to the zombie, but he hoped it hadn't survived the crash.
Speaking of surviving the crash. Where was Paul? (Oh, and the crabby barista from Beanies.)
