Summary
When Carlos accidentally goads an arm-wrestling match between Owen and Enzo that leaves Enzo with a broken arm, TK is seriously mad. Fortunately, make-up-birthday-sex is a thing – and for TK and Carlos, this means deep-throating, role play, toys, and the kind of sex that breaks the laws of physics.

“At the burrito truck,” TK huffs.
“Another favorite B, but it gets to include me?” Carlos teases, making his way back to him.
TK rolls his lips. “Maybe.”

Summary
When Shawn West realizes he’s not the only mystery in Havenport, he borrows a bike and attempts to set out on a journey of discovery.
Or, an origin story for how he ended up with that bike, looking adorable.
“How did they both get tangled in the net?”
“That’s why they call it a freak accident.”
“Yeah, but how did it catch them? I mean–”
“I don’t know, Shane!” Cane raises his voice over him, icing him out with a glare.
All at once, Shawn feels it.
He feels it, and he doesn’t like it. What it is to fall overboard because he’s leaned too far, and when he enters the water he somehow crashes into dry land twenty years earlier. He’s a kid riding his first bike with the training wheels off. His big brother is hanging out with friends on the dock. He joins them there. The brakes squeak awkwardly. Nobody turns around until Shawn starts asking questions. Then, everyone claims they don’t know what he’s talking about. Everyone is annoyed. Big brother turns away entirely, facing the water and skimming a stone with four perfect skips.
“Shawn,” Shawn corrects quietly.

Summary
After Sam Campbell is hospitalized during a bust gone wrong, a guilt-filled Carlos eagerly agrees that he, TK and seven-year-old Jonah will look after the Campbells’ dog, Ruby. But when a thunderstorm scares Ruby and she runs away, Jonah goes after her – and suddenly TK and Carlos find themselves in a living nightmare where both dog and kid are missing.
“Hug me ‘till I pop,” Carlos whispers.
Jonah is instantly delighted to have been given a special task, and hugs Carlos with a small roar. Carlos pretends to struggle, rocking Jonah as if to fling him before whisper-shouting, “Ahhh…BOOM!”
It’s the least dramatic popping he’s ever done because they’re in public, but it’s enough to make Jonah giggle and snuggle him for real. Bringing his face out of Jonah’s silky hair, Carlos catches eyes with TK. The way TK returns Carlos’ gaze from across the room makes him feel like he could melt into the floor. It’s a look of longing, admiration, sorrow, desire, all in one. Nobody, Carlos thinks, can have a whole conversation through his eyes like TK Strand-Reyes can, and nobody except Carlos knows exactly what to say in response with his own.

Summary
Back together after their breakup, TK and Carlos head to Galveston for sea air and sunshine while TK recovers from his coma. Unfortunately, they arrive as Galveston’s worst storm for 100 years is raging – and they quickly learn that their hotel is the most haunted in the city. With TK susceptible to seeing things in the dark after his near-death experience, echoes from the past arrive with messages, and there isn’t much to do except huddle up in bed and wait until morning.
TK scrolls a little lower down the page he’s on. “And we’ve got Sister Katherine. A nun.”
“A nun?” Carlos sags, the navy button-up in his hands slapping against his legs. “I’m a gay Catholic. The last thing I need is an angry nun sneaking up on me while I have your balls in my mouth.”
“Carlos!” TK giggles with surprise and faceplants the mattress before propping himself up on his side. His bare foot sticks off the edge of the bed, prime target for a ghost to grab. “She didn’t bother us when we were in the shower.”
“True.” Carlos quirks an eyebrow. “But we didn’t exactly give her much time.”
TK glares at him playfully and resumes his research...

“Oh, you’ve seen a lot of pornos.”
“Shut up,” TK says, uncrossing his arms so he can take the five extra steps to the dining table and dramatically drop down into his husband’s lap. He finally presses a kiss to those perfect lips, tasting the coffee Carlos’s been sipping and the cinnamon he brewed it with. Carlos immediately brings a hand to TK’s hip to support him while he runs the other up the back of his t-shirt.
“Hot guy with a tool belt,” TK continues, poking a finger into the dimple at the side of Carlos’s dopey grin. “Big hammer, looong measuring tape… offering to lay some pipe.”
“I believe I laid a decent amount of pipe last night,” Carlos deadpans.
