Summary
If anyone had asked, Mike would always say his favorite season was fall.
Could you blame him? There was just so much to love about it – the shifting hues of amber, bronze, and ruby that adorned the falling leaves in Central Park; the dwindling temperatures that brought relief from the sticky summer heat; the feel of a new knit sweater against the fresh gales of fall breeze. The gloomy sky and crisp air perfectly synthesized into the type of atmosphere that let Mike justify another cup of coffee, and hell, he’d take that over the glaring sun and thick humidity of New York summers any day.
What was there to not love about fall? Honestly, he couldn’t think of one thing even if he tried his hardest –
Oh. Right.
His boyfriend hated the fall.
OR: With the upcoming anniversary of Will's disappearance, Mike hatches a plan to make the next two days a little more tolerable.

Summary
“Wear it, you idiot. I don’t need you freezing to death.”
Mike’s heart warmed, and he took the jacket, smiling gleefully. “Aw, you care about me,” he teased, voice full of mirth, “almost like you’re in love with me or something.”
Will looked unimpressed, voice deadpan, “It’s almost like we’ve been dating for months. Crazy coincidence.”
Mike pulled the hat over his head. “Crazy together,” he said, voice sappy and fond.
Christmas was always Mike's favorite time of the year. This one was just extra special.

Summary
“I take back what I said in the van, by the way” he spat. “Being in love with you makes me feel like a huge fucking mistake.”
He turned to storm out of the room, but was pulled back by Mike’s voice. “Wait.”
He turned back around furiously, watching as Mike wordlessly knelt on the floor, pulled two binders from under his bed, and offered them to Will.
Will stared at them, nonplussed.
“Take them” Mike demanded. His voice was raspy, on the verge of breaking, and his eyes were gleaming.
