he was sitting in his room, looking out of the window at the beautiful argentinian city of san juan with a bottle of araucana rojiza fuerte his hand. he was picking at the label with a gloomy expression printed onto his face. every year, his birthday was one of the days that made the nostalgia of the life he left behind in japan one of the loudest thoughts in his mind. tooru never celebrated his birthday after he left japan, he always got very drunk to block out the memories of the seijoh team, highschool, and hajime. -

Oikawa's day started with him feeling unusually faint and his blood sugar being lower than usual. He took his blood sugar levels with a glucometer and got a reading of 2.8 mmol/L, which was low even for an average diabetic. Despite feeling tired and having a headache, he decided to go to school and to volleyball practice, thinking he could manage with some extra medicine. But as he walked to school, he felt more and more tired and his hands were shaking.
When he reached school, he greeted Iwaizumi who got suspicious of how he was feeling but he didn't say anything. During practice, Oikawa was obviously feeling way worse than he was in the morning.

osamu felt himself staring at the boy that had already leaned himself against the cold wall, the freezing nagoya air hitting his face, this expression on his face like the cold didn’t bother him, like nagoya’s winter wasnt bring at his face. as he pulled out a lighter and a pack of malboro cigarettes out of his team jacket pocket. osamu was stunned, just gawking at how the light from the cigarette illuminating the boy’s face made him all the more better looking—the sharp nose he had, his narrow eyes, and something unreadable settling behind him. the smoke curled around his mouth like it belonged there. he sighed, realizing he probably looked like a creep and allowed his legs to move the couple metres toward the boy, stopping right in front of him.
fuck, he needed to get a grip.
by the time he realized he was staring, his feet were already steps ahead.
when he stopped, suna looked up at him, his heliodor-coloured eyes—warm, golden, and completely unbothered—locked right into his brown ones, and for a split second, osamu felt like there were butterflies in his chest
