Summary
In a moment of sheer instinct, Jinu ran towards her instead of the exit, pretending to attack from the front so that his body covered her shoulder from her friends. He worked fast, tearing a slice from his shirt and tying it tightly around her arm, pressing her head to his chest to keep her hidden behind the bulk of his body.
“What are you doing?” She hissed, fighting to free her arms from his embrace as he secured the knot.
“Saving you, dumbass!” He hissed at her slack jawed expression. “Hold still!”
He tugged on the knot, making sure it would hold, and then gave her a small push, just enough to make it look like she had shoved him off of her, and raced out of the bathhouse, catching up with the rest of the Saja boys with his mind reeling from his discovery.
Or, a retelling of Kpop demon hunters with a few missing moments sprinkled into the story, along with the happy ending that all the characters deserve.
Chapter nine can also be read as a standalone oneshot for the aquarium date.

Summary
He takes a deep breath. Stares into her eyes, her soul.
“And I can’t remember the last time I’ve been so vulnerable with someone else. But I want to spend the rest of my life, of this second chance you’ve given me, trying to make everything up to you. To support you. To be with you…and I hope you’ll allow me to do so.”
His last words draw a giggle out of her. He looks at her with an expression that reads ‘I poured my heart out to you and you laugh?’ but it only causes her to giggle more before she replies.
“Wow, you are so old-fashioned.” He scoffs but she continues. “It’s a good thing we have a whole lifetime together to get you up to speed.”
OR
A continuation, the ‘what next?’ that goes through the grief born from loss, the determination to fight for love, and eventually leading to the happy ending they deserve.

The question, posed by a faceless nameless entity sends Rumi's just now put back together life crashing to the floor. With the promise of a second chance, a do over, and the knowledge that the Honmoon might not be as perfectly fixed as they thought, she's forced to make an impossible choice.
Start over. Back at the beginning. Before she knew Jinu, before he betrayed her, before Zoey and Mira learned the truth about her patterns, before the world nearly ended and before they saved it. A second chance, a chance to do things differently, better than before.
She would be a fool not to take that offer.

“My job would certainly be easier if I had.”
“Then why?”
Maybe she pushed too hard but she had to know. She was so close and she had to -

...
Or, the confrontation with Mira and Zoey winds up getting violent. Jinu saves Rumi's life and the two act on their undeniable feelings for each other while the world falls apart.
