Hayden came up, half undressed to pat Shane on the shoulder, saying, “We’ll get them next time, man. You did great.” Shane managed a weak smile. Just then, the locker room door opened and a nervous-looking Jordan - the rookie on the Raiders’ team appeared. The ribbing and bickering stilled.
“Um- hi guys,” he started. Shane held his breath. “Captain wants…Hollander.” WHAT. The Voyagers’ locker room immediately delved into self-righteous uproar.
“That entitled prick!”

“Like hell he can have our captain. Who the fuck does he think he is?”Set in an AU where Winner's Rooms exist and Ilya picks Shane a few months after snapping at him in Sochi and ignoring his texts. Shane thinks he can ignore the hurt but panicks when Ilya's signature chirping hits a little too close to home.
