A small ding came from her laptop, and she had to squint to read the notification in the corner of the screen. It was from this little group chat Beatrix made a while back on starchat. ‘Viktor Humphries: Anyone up? I have a plort question.’ it said, showing his profile picture and a little green dot.
Mochi planned on ignoring it, she had more important work to be doing, but it wouldn’t leave her mind. Maybe answering Mr. Science Wizz’s question could help her finally jump start what she needed to get done.
‘Sure, call me?’ She messaged back. She didn’t feel like typing out long responses, a call would be much more convenient. Mochi could barely look back down at her sketchbook before getting the call from Viktor. She clicked answer and his face came right up.

The knight shifts. “...Do we- I don’t…” He takes a moment to continue, “...I know you.”
That’s not ominous at all. Avery feels a little caught off guard, here. “Right… I don’t recognize your armor. What’s your name?”
The knight takes a beat to respond. “I don’t… I can’t remember what it is.”
Avery raises an eyebrow - well, the slime above his left eye. “You remember my name, but not your own?”
“...Yes.”
