Of course his luck wasn't that good, not when it came to this. Clive was already there in the room. He spun around immediately when Joshua pushed the door open, his face drawn into concern, something that bordered on panic. The crystal lamp in the corner was on, flooding the room with pale light.
"Clive, I—" Joshua started.
Clive was across the room in a step and a half, hands on Joshua's shoulders.
