Dick stares at him for a little while, like he’s trying to figure out what to say, or maybe only seconds have passed and Tim just can’t keep up. “Did… Did you smoke with them?” Dick asks, tentative, and Tim’s head swims at the accusation.
“Of course not,” he says automatically, freezing up a little in mute horror after the lie escapes him.
(Or: 5 times Tim was almost caught green-handed, plus the 1 time he really was.)

Cass was arguably Bruce’s best behaved child by way of being mostly nonverbal, ruling out the possibility of offending someone, and being well-versed enough in reading people that she was nearly impossible to offend. Bruce wasn’t worried. He had no reason to, up until Cass vanished halfway through the gala.
