Summary
Myst still didn’t know what to make of Jaheira. They knew she was once their mother, in some sense of the word. They remembered their fateful last interaction, remembered just barely avoiding matricide and not much else. She knew what they were and still refused to tell them, to 'protect them'.
Their tadpole squirmed in the back of their head; Astarion was asking to connect. Myst allowed it.
“You don’t need her, Myst. Whatever your past with her, she’s still lying about what she knows.” Of course, he still disapproved of her. But Myst didn’t think it was because Jaheira was holding back details. It was because the old Druid wouldn’t make the same mistake twice; Jaheira wouldn’t let their Urge take them over again. She’d been ready to kill them the moment she laid eyes on them. “We don’t need her, Myst—”
“Would you do it, if it came down to it? Will you kill me if I completely lose control? She will.” They felt Astarion pull out of their mind, snapping the connection as if slamming a door. He scoffed audibly and went incredibly tense, but didn’t pull his hand away from theirs.

Summary
The relief of passing into the protective bubble surrounding the Last Light Inn didn’t last all that long – at least not for Myst. As soon as they got off the bridge and started leading the party towards the Inn, they stepped into a somehow familiar trap of entangling vines; their feet and ankles immediately stuck. They spied the half-elf caster in front of them, and an angry, pulsing red haze seeped into their vision, drowning their control in its intensity. The half-elf was dressed in druidic garb, olive skin slightly wrinkled with age and braided white hair. Her greenish-gray eyes looked them over, and her face did something complex, but Myst caught the hint of recognition, before a cold determination settled on her face and the thick vines extended up past their knees, locking them in place.

She already used the word "love" and can’t do it again. A ghost of a smile on Paul’s lips tells Pyrrha they hear the word anyway.
