She’s waiting for him when he steps off the elevator. Pacing by the piano, one hand tapping on the glossy lid.
She surges toward him the the second he crosses the threshold, heels snapping on black stone.
“What the hell is wrong with you?”
He pauses briefly. She follows him when he sidesteps her and stalks to the bar.
He sheds his jacket. Undoes his cufflinks, and pushes his sleeves past his wrists. Pours himself a drink.
He takes a sip and lets it melt on his tongue before he speaks, voice barely more than a whisper.
“I could ask you the same thing, Detective.”

Desperate to cement his "super bad boyfriend" status, Lucifer drags Eve as his date to the 54th annual LAPD gala.
He's not expecting a date with Chloe Decker to be up for auction.

Summary
Enraged after Lucifer's refusal to return to Hell, God finally steps in.
If you so wish to live amongst humans, my son, then so be it.
And then Lucifer’s not quite Lucifer anymore, yet he can’t remember if he ever was. As a human-looking being in a human world, he assumes the only thing he can.
Memory of his origins foggy, fading, then gone. Powers not gone, but suppressed — enough so that he can always explain away how people tend to open up to him, why doors always seem to be unlocked. But the one thing he can't explain to himself are the embers he feels deep within himself. Distant, but glowing.
It gives him no comfort, this feeling that he's more. It's an itch he can't reach, a puzzle he can't solve. So he stops searching, and drowns it instead.
Life has not been kind to Lucifer since then. Wrecked by his melancholy and consumed by every vice under the sun, he meets Chloe Decker. She throws him in a holding cell to sleep off a bender, and when he awakes, sober for the first time in what could be months or years... there's that flame again. Tiny, but hopeful. And he can't say why exactly, but there's something about this woman that makes him want to start searching again.

Summary
Minutes after being shot and then whisked away to safety, Chloe made it back to the loft just in time to see a red-skinned monst— figure standing up from Pierce’s lifeless body with a blade in his hand.
In a moment of panic that would be making her cringe for the rest of her life, she’d then freaked out and panicked like a rookie and grabbed the nearest gun she could find and now there were two bodies lying on the floor. Thank everything in the universe except Lucifer’s Dad, one of them was still breathing.
This was, beyond a doubt, the worst freaking day of Chloe’s life.

What if Chloe hadn't been unconscious when Lucifer protected her with his wings, and she had seen the wings before she saw his devil face? What if all her friends didn't totally abandon her the second she found out Lucifer had been telling her the truth the whole time? And what if we got to see some of the immediate aftermath, and how Chloe and Lucifer would attempt to explain what the hell happened at this crime scene?
Canon divergence after 3x24. The title is a lyric from the RJA song ‘Cat and Mouse’ that seemed fitting for both halves of Deckerstar.

Summary
The door creaks. Her eyes fly open, watching his shadow in the leftover light of the bathroom.
He’s shirtless when he steps back into the room, dressed only in a pair of silk boxers. His hair is still wet, tousled from a halfhearted towel-dry and tracking water onto the carpet.
He pauses before he lowers himself to the floor, frozen by the foot of the bed. She wonders how she can hear his heart beating like this, frantic in the heavy silence, before she realizes it’s her own.
He’s watching her. She can feel him. His eyes are trained on her, wide and blinking in the breathless dark. When he’s satisfied she’s asleep he speaks, almost too quiet to hear.
Almost.
“I don’t know how to do this,” he murmurs. “I don’t know how to let you go.”

In which a recently-engaged Chloe and a totally-not-jealous Lucifer travel to Mammoth Lakes to help solve a murder. Hotel room and all-you-can-eat continental breakfast provided.
What a shame there's just one bed.
