Summary
This series consists of oneshots from a world in which Sirius Black escaped from Azkaban, spent several years as a fugitive, and watched from afar as his godson lived a life for others, but never for himself. And how Harry ultimately sacrificed himself to make life possible for others. Only to make the sacrifice pointless because his best friends son was never a horcrux. With the help of the best wizards and witches, he decided to change that and give his godson the life he deserved. Getting rid of Voldemort is just an added plus.

Neal Caffrey.
It was the best cover. Neal was a nonviolent wordsmith, whereas Jason only spoke with violence. Neal never swore, Jason swore like a sailor. Neal hated guns while Jason knew every way to take someone down with a single shot. Neal was an artist, Jason hated art (of course, he did grow to appreciate it as he learned more about it).
Yes, Neal Caffrey was Jason Todd's opposite in every way.

Squinting, Harry thinks it looks like a ferret, but before he can confirm anything, the creature scrambles from the table and makes a mad dash for the space under the door. A quick swish and flick lifts the thing into the air and floats it closer. Harry reaches for his glasses and the darkness around him sharpens slightly and, yes, that is definitely a ferret. Pure white with dark, beady eyes. The closer the ferret comes, the louder it squeaks and chirps in what can only be described as anger.

Draco is missing and no one seems to care. There’s also a very prissy ferret that Harry can swear he recognizes. Are these two facts connected? Of course they are.

Jason coughs, even though the airborne particles don’t feel like they’ve invaded his lungs. He sits down on the rough concrete floor of the rooftop when his legs wobble like jelly beneath his weight.
“Hit with something airborne. Losing fine motor controls and consciousness,” Dick reports, collapsing to the floor next to Jason, just a foot apart. He tries to reach out. To do what he’s not sure, but his hand doesn’t even make it close before his vision entirely blacks out.
