“Okay. So …” Chan sat down next to Seungmin on the big bed and began slowly counting on his fingers. “I just want to make sure I got everything. You don’t really like being naked, sometimes you can’t speak after too much physical touch, and you want to be spanked over my knees a little in order to get out of your head enough to actually enjoy the sex. Seungmin winced and folded into himself, pulling his knees up to his chest and hiding his face. “When you say it like that, it sounds impossible, hyung …” he whined, and felt Chan reach over to ruffle his hair and sigh softly, the gentle smile apparent in his voice.

Her gaze lifted to the source of the shout and suddenly the world slowed; birds sang the love songs of the gods, and petals rained from the sky. She was shorter than her counterpart, noticeably so, and her hair was cut short, dark and thick. ‘Thick’ was a word that also described her arms, one currently raised, fist careening towards the arm of Jisung’s crush. Buzzing filled her ears as she watched the ripple of the impact travel up her arm, almost blacking out as the thick bicep muscle jiggled in the recoil.

Minho’s eyes shoot open. “Jesus Christ, what?”

Minho lifts his head up, shaking it back and forth and back and forth until it hurts too much. “Shh, I’ve got you, I’m here.” Jisung takes Minho’s hand and squeezes it, letting him squeeze back as much as he wants. As much as he needs. Everything too much. “Just let it out, ok? I’m here.” He’s trying and trying and trying to get it all to stop, to bottle it back up so they can move on. He’s painfully aware he’s holding them all up and he doesn’t know what the fuck to do about it other than pretend he’s fine.

Seungmin sat up abruptly, his eyebrows higher than before. "That's what you're worried about? Hell, I thought it was something worse—maybe that you wanted to kill yourself again."
"I didn't—"
"But we've gone through hell and back together, and we're still here, right?" Seungmin pointed to a scar that started from his clavicle and ended near the bottom of his chin. "As you said—nature gives and takes. For now, she's left us alone."
Hyunjin felt tears begin to fall, but he didn't know what to do with the emotion welling up in his chest. "I..."
"And worry not if it's Chan and Jisung making you feel this way. Jisung is more reserved—he might open up eventually, but for now... how can I phrase this? He and Chan were the first members of Mizar. It's natural that he feels threatened by the inherent authority you bring."
Seungmin took Hyunjin's hand in his own, and when Hyunjin looked up, Seungmin's eyes had softened considerably. "Ah, don't cry, Your royal highness. You look too beautiful when you do."
