Nanami had always been able to see the horrors that lurked in the corners of every room, every subway, under every bed, and in every shadow. No matter what parents told other children to help them sleep at night, he knew the monsters existed.
He only found out the significance of his sight when he was eventually scouted to attend Tokyo Jujutsu Technical College, in order to train and learn to fight back against them.
Surrounded by other weird kids who could see those very same monsters, Nanami couldn't be classed as the weirdest kid on campus anymore; that accolade belonged easily to the white-haired celebrity in their midst, Gojo Satoru; god-like wielder of the Six Eyes, with an ego to match.
He made friends, grew into the world, and thought it was going to be OK. His second year was when everything changed.
A Nanami POV journey through forging friendships, changing relationships, growing up (but sadly not through those accumulated little despairs), loss and grief and running away, but never really being able to escape from the past, and finding out you never really knew the one person who would be there with you in the end.
