Summary
Oscar had never really put all that much thought into his status as a beta.
As a beta, his secondary sex didn't put anywhere near as much of an effect on his every day life in the way that being an alpha or omega would. He didn't experience heats or ruts, and well… his ability to scent was baseline. His own scent was mild and even, much less prone to souring. In turn, he wasn't as affected by the scents of others either. It meant he had a pretty easy time on the track, all things considered.

Summary
Oscar’s focus comes back full blast when he hears soft, but quick footsteps and then feels two tiny arms wrap around his leg.
“Mister!” Oscar looks down and sees a little toddler look up to him with big shiny eyes. “Mister, I lost mommy”.
The McLaren driver tries to shake his surprise. He crouches down to be more at eye level with the boy. “Where did you see her last?” he asks. The kid just shrugs. He looks close to tears.

At the Monaco GP, Oscar finds a kid walking around the paddock unsupervised. He decides to help the polite boy find his mom but gets way too attached in the process.
Lando is here to help, Oscar thinks. And is definitely not a distraction…

Summary
The rustling of pages and the muffled sound of whispered voices filled the classroom. Some children approached the teacher's desk asking for help. Other students simply scribbled on paper, distracted, pretending to follow the lesson.
Until a different sound caught his attention.
“Pspspspsps…”
His ears perked up immediately. It was impossible not to react, Oscar looked up suspiciously, seeing Lando stretching his body towards him and almost falling out of his chair.
As soon as he realized he had his attention, Lando whispered “Can I borrow a pencil?”
Or
Oscar wants to understand how to be a normal boy and leave his past behind in a simple way, but he ends up meeting Lando along the way.
