Summary
After HYDRA, Bucky's Sentinel gifts are out of control, and nothing appears capable of helping. He keeps falling into Zones, but none of the Guides that SHIELD continues bringing in are able to form even a superficial bond with him, instead ending up breaking down themselves. The only Guide capable of being around him for longer periods of time is Tony, and Bucky can't help but want, even though he knows an attempt at a bond won't end in anything but pain for the both of them. So he'll keep his distance, no matter how much he wants to get closer.
Tony, in the meantime, longs. But he knows he's no good as a Guide, knows that Bucky deserves so much more than him. So he'll stay away, even when all he wants is to get closer.

There’s no other reason why he sees it, the hulking, black figure of a wolf peering at him from the treeline behind the bleachers. It was a small but comfortable lounge where the in-shop tattooists hung out, had a leggy leather couch, speakers, and a low mid-century table where the others ate their lunch, but he was currently using it for his drafts. The others all used tablets but he still worked on paper. He was old-school that way. He had learned calligraphy and watercolor before he’d started tattooing.
Still, none of the in-shop artists had appointments on a Tuesday, so he dropped the pencil and wound his way to the front.
There was a man at the front desk, tall, with bleached platinum hair like silk cascading down his back, leaning on the counter with his chin on his palm...

Both no doubt have hidden intentions, and Prince Jin wants eyes and ears on the scene. Zhou Zishu can't quite bring himself to deny his own ravenous curiosity enough not to accept.
The stunning beauty that shows up with the girls of the Department of the Unfaithful, the one who introduces himself as Wen Kexing, is universally assumed to be a favorite plaything of the yet unseen Ghost Valley Master. His beauty and charm may be enough to captivate all the others into underestimating him, but Zhou Zishu knows a killer's eyes when he sees one. Wen Kexing is a puzzle he'd like to figure out, and Zishu himself can't say he isn't also captivated by dark eyes and a smile that wouldn't be out of place with blood in its teeth.
