    Summary

Bakugou Katsuki is used to control — of his training, his future, his heart. But when a careless joke from Kirishima spirals into something softer, something tender, he finds himself chasing the shape of something he’s too afraid to name.

It’s just a joke. Of course it is. That’s what Kirishima keeps saying.

But Bakugou is starting to feel like the only one not laughing.

Now every look lingers too long. Every brush of fingers leaves a mark. And Bakugou? He’s unravelling — silently, stupidly, beautifully — in the space between pretending and wanting.

It was never supposed to mean anything. So why does it feel like everything?

“So you want to use me to piss off your mom?” Kirishima summarized, raising one pierced eyebrow at Katsuki.

“Look, if you want to be all fucking judgy about it, I take cash,” Katsuki said, dropping his hand palm up on the table.

“Hey now,” Kirishima said, raising his hands in surrender, “I didn’t say I wasn’t doing it. I’m always down for a little chaos.” He flashed a grin, showing off his ridiculous shark teeth.

“Good,” Katsuki said. “We start tomorrow."

    Summary

Steve wasn’t exactly sure when it started. Maybe the cafeteria, maybe the basement, maybe the goddamn steering wheel. All he knew was that somewhere along the line he stopped listening to Eddie’s words and started watching his hands instead. Fingers on dice, on strings, on lighters—every twitch, every flick, every curl dug under Steve’s skin until it was all he could think about.

It was stupid. He knew it was stupid. Who the hell got jealous of a cigarette or a soda can? But Steve did. Every brush of knuckles, every scrape of rings, every casual touch lit him up like he was wired wrong. And when Eddie finally noticed—when Steve finally cracked—it stopped being about pretending. It became about finally, finally getting what he’d been chasing in his head for months.

Or: Steve Harrington accidentally develops a hand kink, and unfortunately for him, Eddie Munson has the exact hands to ruin him.

    Summary

Eddie hated the silence of the trailer. Empty, cold, too many ghosts rattling around in the dark. One nightmare too many and suddenly he was out the door, boots dragging him straight to the last place he should’ve been: Harrington’s pristine suburban castle. Great. Perfect. Exactly what he needed at 2 a.m.

He told himself he’d crack a joke, play it off, bolt before it got messy. Instead, Steve opened the door, looked at him like he mattered, and Eddie’s mask slipped. Tea, warmth, kindness... things he swore weren’t for freaks like him. Things that made him feel seen in ways that scared the hell out of him.

He should’ve left. He didn’t. And maybe that was the first time Eddie Munson let himself admit he didn’t want to.

    Summary

Steve never minded living in Eddie’s shadow. He liked the chaos, the noise, the way Eddie looked like he might catch fire on stage at any second. What he minded, though he’d never admit it out loud, were the songs. Every crowd screamed Eddie’s words back at him, but none of them were for Steve. Not the angry anthems, not the messy love songs, not even the ballads that left reporters breathless.

Steve told himself it didn’t matter. He didn’t need the spotlight, didn’t need Eddie to spell his name in lyrics. He just needed Eddie to come back to him when the lights went down.

But five songs in, after years of motel rooms, arenas, fights, and backstage kisses that tasted like smoke and blood, Eddie finally wrote the one that was.

And Steve wasn’t sure his heart could take it.

    OR:

Five songs Eddie swore weren’t about Steve, and one that absolutely is.
