merely a revision of a thread i posted on twitter a while back, wherein i muse about some of the batkids’ and beauty; the ways in which they are all sublime, albeit in their own distinct ways.
Alternatively,
a classmate once told me i am ”meticulous and pedantic” - and ”just enough of an arse to be irritated by anything else.”
with that said, here’s how i see the bats’ different shades of beauty. for i am very precise with my words, and am enough of a prick to be annoyed by anything less. -

Upon hearing his voice, Tim hastily returned to his tablet, pretending as though his lips hadn't been but a few millimetres away from kissing Jason, setting his mind to pick up his pursuit of the business files with their person of interest. His eyes totally not running to the corners to get a view of Jason.Jason was grinning confidently as a means to direct attention away from his peachy cheeks and reddening ears, making a show of returning to the book before him, pretending as though he hadn't been a moment away from taking hold of Tim's waist and pulling him onto his lap.
It was only upon Alfred's departure he realised he was holding his book upside down.Or,
Tim and Jason find out their separate trails lead to the same road, which soon unveils a great conspiracy to eliminate anything preventing further profits by protecting workers. Featuring Scarecrow, a greedy CEO, an unknown puppet master, and a top-secret meeting reserved for the wealthiest of the wealthy.
All the whilst their friends and fellow bats keep pestering them about feelings which they certainly do not have. -

Wyll offered his arm, and Astarion did not take it immediately to leave room for him to look Wyll’s own outfit up and down. “Thank you, dear.” He murmured distractedly, thinking on the colors of their embroidery together. “Is this the doublet I had ordered from Thay? When did this arrive?” He picked a clawed finger at the seams along the sleeve, and Wyll lifted his arm compliantly, no question needed.
There was an amusement in Wyll’s voice when he responded, “You would know better than I, these things simply arrive in my wardrobes. Don’t tell me,” He leaned forward, and Astarion flitted his own unamused look at the tone he suddenly took on, “We should change, shouldn’t we? What may they think of our arrival if we look so ill-mannered as to clash at our own party?”

Having moved in with Wyll after the fall of the tadpoles, Astarion has informally established himself as the trophy husband of Duke Ravengard. This is done mostly for his own amusement and so he can hear the circulating gossip as a result, but it has also the unintended side effect of making Astarion hyper-aware of Wyll's perhaps wanting a husband proper, and where a coy vampire lover falls into that arrangement.
