Mondstadt was frigid during the winter and Venti was old enough to know better than to have wandered out this time of year, but freedom was freedom. Freedom to move, to wander, to dip and bob and weave around his home; his place. An even sharper gust of wind, however, immediately reminded Venti of more modern conveniences that came with a lack of freedom like fireplaces and heat and alcohol and so he struck out for the Angel’s Share, certain of a particular kind of heat and flame.
tl;dr Venti finds out Diluc smokes cigarettes to calm down after bad nights out and demands to try one with him as Venti is wont to do.

“Did I say anything to you that stuck out last night?” Kaminari said, climbing to his feet with the UA blanket hanging from his shoulders like a bright blue and red cape.
Jirou stopped for a second, tilting her head to the side. She remembered the usual ‘wheys’, the usual falling on flat surfaces, but mostly, Jirou remembered what Kaminari whispered to himself before falling asleep on the ground while she waited on his bed for him to snap out of it. After throwing him the pillow she’d been leaning against, she watched him pull it close to himself and mumble.
Kyouka….
And imperceptible to normal human ears, but not beyond hers:
…...I love you.
Kaminari confesses to Jirou in his sleep on the last weekend before break starts, throwing everyone off as they prepare for the summer. The fic will be a slow burn, following the two of them throughout the summer as things go awry.

Now that is something Miko can confidently scoff at. “Oh, I don’t need him to like me. In fact, it’s far more enjoyable having him be afraid of me.”
A pause.
