When the missions get harder and the powers above put Marcel in charge of bringing destruction to the foreign island of Paradis, he'll have to learn the burdens of being a leader on the job. Alone with no contact from the people they love, the warriors press on into a battle where the blood they shed bleeds the same red as that from their own hearts.

    A canon-divergent AU where Marcel lives, and the titan's curse proves to be holding more than a few new secrets. In a story where the heroes are villains and everything lives in the space between silver and grey, the warriors discover what it means to be human and how far they'll go to stay that way.

    Summary

    They barely made it out. The Upside Down nearly took several of their own, and Hawkins split in two, but they're okay. They aren't without scars. Max broke her arm, and Steve ended up in a 10-day coma, but maybe that time was the last. El defeated Vecna, and they can rest now. The Party decides it wouldn't hurt for their DM to meet their favorite recovery babysitter, to bring someone from the outside in. It doesn't hurt that Eddie Munson and his new best friend, Chrissy Cunningham, bring a sense of normal that Party members have long forgotten.

    It's such a shame that normal never lasts long.

    (Alt. Reality. Eddie and Chrissy never get brought into Upside Down nonsense the fourth time around. They meet the Party after the events of Season 4.)
