Summary
Dennis had always known that he felt too much; that he was too loving, too trusting, too forgiving. That's probably why he still hasn't ended things with Robby, despite the man making it clear they were not, and likely will never be together officially. Habits were hard enough to break on their own without the added emotional attachment, but if Dennis wanted to be happy, he knew he had to break free of the hold Michael Robinavitch had on him. Luckily for Dennis, he has all the support he needs, with love waiting in the wings to strike.
Or
Dennis is trying his best, Robby came back from his sabbatical learning nothing, and Ogilvie enters his Ariana Grande era

Summary
“You could stay, if you want to,” Robby offered mildly. “At least until your clothes are a little drier and the rain’s fully stopped. Or,” he looked away, scratched his neck, “or you could use the guest room? I’ll drive you home either way.”
There, an excuse to leave, the one Dennis should have made earlier. It was being handed to him on a silver platter. Every polite instinct in his body told him to take it.
“Do you wanna watch a movie?” he asked instead.
An unreadable expression flickered across Robby’s face. Barely there and gone again. It looked a lot like hope, but Dennis was not prepared to call it that.
(Or, Dennis gets caught in a rainstorm, Robby is his knight in shining leather.)

Summary
“I put in 1095, but it won’t turn off!” Dennis shrieks, trying to be heard over the sound of the alarm. He knows that he didn’t get the numbers wrong because he’s staring right at them on the crumpled sticky note. “What am I doing wrong?”
“Did you push the off button?”
Dennis looks at the keypad, not seeing anything that says Off. “What?!”
“Put the code in and push the pound sign after.”
Dennis does as he’s told, except, in his panic, he hits the asterisk instead. “Shit.”
“It’s the hashtag,” Robby says, sounding entirely put out.
“I know what a pound sign is,” Dennis grumbles, hitting the button and noticing the word Off in the smallest font known to man under the #.
