Summary
Original version of A Berlint Proposal, preserved here for archival purposes and for anyone who would like to revisit where it all began.
Twenty five year old Anya Forger has her dream job as a junior writer on Bondman: The Live Series, but the pay is...not great Luckily, her university roommate turned best friend, Becky Blackbell, occasionally hires her to pose in her place on blind dates arranged by her father.
One of these blind dates brings Anya face to face with Damian Desmond, the new President of Berlint Television, the network where she works.
Ewen Egeburg, Damian’s Vice President and right hand man, meets Becky and falls for her immediately, even as Becky struggles under the weight of her father’s expectations and the life already planned for her.
As Damian continues to spend time with Anya, regardless of who she is pretending to be, he begins to feel something he cannot ignore. Anya Forger, with her underpaid job and unassuming presence, shouldn't be anything special.
Setting and premise highly inspired by the manhwa/k-drama A Business Proposal.

How long can a lie remain a lie before it becomes a justification to linger? For how long can one lie about motivations before the lie becomes their truth?
Shadow Milk Cookie makes good on his threat that Pure Vanilla Cookie's kindness will be his undoing. He arrives in the Vanilla kingdom asking for help, lying that his followers have turned on him and his magic is gone. This lie wraps him up in itself until he is completely enmeshed, unable to tell where the lie ends, and where his true motivations begin. That lie becomes an excuse to linger.

Eternal Sugar raises a shaking hand to brush aside a tear. “A…deal?”
“I will not come back with you to your paradise. My people need me, and I need them. I will not budge on this, no matter what you say or what you do.”
The other cookie sniffs, wavering dangerously on the edge of despair that she just managed to pull herself back from.
“But instead, you can stay here…with me.”

Lynette. That’s what she is, technically. But what is Lynette? A shadow? A princess? A trick of the eyes?
She doesn’t know. The mirror never answers when she asks.
She should stop asking, then. Talking to mirrors is a strange thing to do.
