Something was strange. Till could tell immediately, Ivan was off during the performance. He was stiffer, more rigid, more irritable than normal and his scent had grown sharper, seemingly stronger, so much so that the air was thick with it. After knowing each other for so long and spending so much time together, Till could, unfortunately, read Ivan like a book.
Till didn’t know what was wrong, he didn’t remember doing anything to piss Ivan off and it was very rare for Ivan to actually be pissed at him, but it had happened before, once or twice. Till is still trying to figure it out when finds himself at Ivan’s door, the older man had stormed off immediately after the show concluded, presumably locking himself in his room for some unknown reason.

Ivan and Till succumbed to the difficulties of having a daughter, adding other problems in their marriage, like lacking understanding, that made them believe that there was no other solution than to part ways.
Now, they would have to deal with loneliness, and, maybe soon, they'll manage to understand.

Reconciliation doesn't solve all the problems between them. They hadn't talked about everything they had to talk about, yet they tried to get better; although fighting over silly things was recurrent, they also easily accepted each other's opinions on issues related to their daughter.
But the uncertainty is still there, more so when there's nothing to assure that they are together, more so when Till is afraid that there is no longer an unwritten rule about exclusivity.

Ivan fights a chuckle, gaze trained on him through the mirror. “Or what, Till? You and I both know that no one else out there has caught your attention.” Ivan’s wandering hand drifts lower to his jeans, lightly palming Till’s aching member through the denim fabric. “And I’d really hate to leave you all hot and bothered so, indulge me.”
Closing his eyes, Till lets out a sigh to even out his breathing before he levels his gaze at Ivan. Bright teal – stern, electric, unmoving – is hard against dark hues of scarlet, and God, Ivan can’t look away even if he tried his hardest. Till’s fingers grasp the lapels of his leather jacket, tugging him close in one fluid motion, “I want you to fuck me.”
“With pleasure.”
After teasing Till all night, Ivan finally gets to claim his prize.
