Sherlock returns to London after nearly 3 years. He is emotionally messed up and cannot speak. Fairly slow and frustrating. I don't really understand why making Sherlock mute adds to the story.

So, so so sweet and good. Sherlock and John have already been pining for each other, but they are such idiots, it takes John getting shot and nearly dying to force them to acknowledge their mutual feelings. Feels and more feels, but no actual sex.

AU where youngsters Sherlock and John grow up on neighboring farms in Minnesota. They are very close friends, and realize just before they leave for different colleges, that they love each other in a physical way, too. Traces them into college (special emphasis on holiday breaks when they can be together) and onward. There is sex, and it's well-written sex, but there is too much sex. I couldn't relate to how horny 18-19-year-olds are!
