High heel shoes were always heavier than girls made them look. “In fact, I hope one day I’ll wake up—” He pressed a kiss to her other ankle, unbuckling the remaining shoe off her delicate foot. “—and realize my house is covered in pink.”

“Yes. I think. Come on, Lovegood, do you have any sense of self-preservation whatsoever? What if a Death Eater tried to come down here, and —”
And he trailed off, because a Death Eater had come down there and was currently launching into a diatribe on the stairs.
Lovegood, for all her intelligence and eerie awareness of him, chose not to comment on his obvious blunder, and instead said something wholly unexpected:
“Did you bring any Firewhiskey with you?”
“No,” he replied, irritated.
[To be clear, he was irritated with himself, for 3 reasons: 1. He was a Death Eater; 2. He had forgotten that he was a Death Eater, which was absolutely mortifying; and 3. He had not brought Firewhiskey to the cellar]
