It’s rare that she gets nervous nowadays. There’s a natural, easy peace that comes from having returned to Sharlayan after averting the Final Days that makes most things feel possible without too much angst.
Tonight though? Her stomach is in knots as she wanders around her room in the Annex, the side of her thumb chewed to redness as she forces herself to breathe slow and deep and stop from fretting too much.
