Lan Wangji, like he had been doing the entire afternoon, immediately looked at him upon being called. His eyebrows raised minimally as he took in Wei Wuxian’s appearance.
“How about this? Am I still nice to look at, Er-Gege? Do I look cute?” Wei Wuxian asked, sugary and nasally, as he twirled the end of one pigtail around his finger and batted his eyelashes.
The other didn’t miss a beat.
“Mn. Very cute,” Lan Wangji confirmed, not seeming flustered at all.
Wei Wuxian was starting to despair.

“Then trouble me.” Though Lan Zhan doesn’t raise her tone, there’s a ring of exasperation to her words. She pauses for a recentering breath. “My life is spotless. Perhaps I could… Use a little trouble. The good kind.”
