Summary
My take on a 5+1 fic for Twilight Princess Zelink. Five rumors Link heard about Zelda that were wrong, and then the one that turned out to be true.

“I heard you needed a guard.”
“Oh.” She seemed… disappointed, somehow. Her brow was furrowed, her lips curled down at the edges. “Is that all?” Zelda’s voice was scarcely louder than a whisper.
“Well…” Link trailed off. How did he tell her about his worry for her? How the people in town spoke about her? How the castle gossiped? Whispering that she was unstable, a ruler with no footing, who didn’t even trust her own guard.
Zelda shook herself. “I apologize. My curiosity has the better of me.”
How did he tell her he welcomed it? That he wished to cross the ravine between them, but that would require a bridge he had yet to build. So he said nothing and told himself it wasn’t from a lack of courage.
“I am sure I could not ask for a better guard. Of course, you have the appointment.” She hesitated. “Is that truly all you wish, Link?”

“We never discussed ground rules,” Zelda said matter-of-factly. “And we really should have.”
Link didn’t say anything, waiting for her to continue.
“Obviously, no one can know it’s a ruse,” Zelda said. “If anyone finds out, my father will call off his blessing, and both of us will be back to square one.”
Link nodded.
Zelda suddenly felt too warm, and she decided to shuffle over to her desk, which was a good distance from Link, and dig around for a piece of paper and a quill. “It’ll be good for us to write it out,” she said, more for herself than for Link, who sat on the other side of her desk expectantly.
Why did he look like he was waiting to get marching orders? Like he might have been almost eager for it?
She focused on writing out the first rule. “Rule number one, no one can know.” She penned the words carefully. “We have to look genuinely head over heels for each other.”

Summary
For Riju's thirteenth birthday, all she asks is for Zelda to take her to a concert for her favorite artist, Link Wild. Zelda has no choice but to agree, even though she has had enough of dealing with music and popstars for a lifetime. And it feels like Link will be no different from the rest of them. But after a chance encounter with the artist himself, and an interesting new contract being laid across her desk, Zelda realizes that Link Wild might have more of an impact on her life and career than she thought.
A modern AU where Link is a very successful singer/songwriter/dancer and Zelda is a representative of a music publishing company.
