CONCLAVE CHAOS: ANDRASTE'S ASHES DESTROYED BY DALISH APOSTATE!
Tragedy at the Temple of Sacred Ashes! All those in attendance for peace talks or pilgrimage - apostates and innocent faithful alike - were killed in an explosion that tore the very Veil with its violence. The Divine has been assassinated, our Lady's resting place obliterated by foul magic, and the bloodshed has unleashed demons across Thedas.
A Dalish elf was found at the scene of the attack, wielding the same magic that desecrated the Temple. Through valiant efforts of the faithful at Haven, she was compelled to mitigate some of her vile act, and the Breach in the Veil was prevented from expanding.
However, in grim news, the prisoner has escaped custody, aided by some sort of cult. Blood magic is not suspected, but cannot be ruled out - the prisoner is to be considered highly dangerous. Pursuit is ongoing. We keep faith that justice will be served.

His eyes are bright and reflective as fiery opals, shining back at her where the rest of his body remains edgeless, smudged in nightshadow.
Her arrow points at where the hollow of his throat should be, but it does not spring through the air as she hoped.

The hologram projection of his strangely handsome face is cobalt blue, flickering, and full of static. "I must speak to you, Rey. You… you pierce my soul. I am half agony, half hope. Tell me that I am not too late.” He groans, runs his hands through his dark, silver-streaked hair, then refocuses his gaze on the holorecorder. “I offer myself to you again with a heart even more your own than when you almost broke it, eight and a half years ago. Do not say that man forgets sooner than woman, that his love has an earlier death."
Here the recording of Ben takes a deep breath, and looks down at something outside the holorecorder’s field of view. Perhaps at his hands, Rey manages to think, through the veil of shock and timid, fluttering hope. She wishes she were there with him, so she could take them in her own, and offer him the confidence to carry on.
But this is only a hologram, so she must wait. Eventually, when he looks up again, his features have settled. He looks… Fierce. Determined. Self-assured.
"I have loved none but you," he says.
