There’s something very isolating about being The Strongest, that’s something Gojo Satoru has known since he was a child. You can never fuck up or if you do it has to be in ways that don’t matter. You can never relax. You don’t have time to yourself, and if you do, you soon wouldn't live up to your title.
Honestly, if it weren’t for the fact that Sung Jinwoo rubs Satoru the exact wrong way, Satoru might be relieved at his appearance. He has much more free time, with which he admittedly finds himself at a loss for what to do with, adrift even, as he wanders uselessly about. He doesn’t have to worry about the higher ups as often. If it were anyone else, Satoru would be glad. And if it weren’t for Jinwoo’s appearance so soon after Suguru, he probably wouldn’t find the situation so appalling.

A long pause. The longest one yet. “Who says I haven’t?”
Lightning flashed through the window, illuminating Al-Haitham’s face. Half of it was still wrapped in shadow, blocked by Kaveh’s head, but he could see the distance between them measured, laid flat by the light. The lightning went. The room went dark. But the memory of Al-Haitham’s wide eyes did not leave him.
What did he want?
“Have you?” asked Kaveh.
“Have you?” Al-Haitham’s voice was so quiet, buried under the murmur of the rain.
Kaveh swallowed. “I mean…I thought that was obvious.”
Kaveh accidentally sleeps with Al-Haitham. And then...keeps sleeping with him.

Summary
Kaveh’s face is bright, young, flushed, freckled, happy. He’s wearing an Akademiya uniform and is as tall as the last time Alhaitham saw him (fifteen minutes ago) which means he’s an inch or two shorter than the last time Alhaitham saw him, because the uniform boots are heeled. He’s staring at Alhaitham with the aforementioned flush spreading like dye over the silk of his cheeks.
“Kaveh,” Alhaitham says. “Don’t freak out. I believe I’ve been displaced in time.”
