Half-shrouded by drifting fronds, but unmistakably present. His torso was sleek and bare, dotted in distinct markings, arms long and fluid at his sides.
But it was the tail that truly struck Kei.
Thicker than the trunks of the kelp that surrounded them, patterned like barnacles across stone, slick and oily. It coiled lazily beneath him and stretched into the gloom—easily twice the length of his torso, maybe more.
A moray eel mer. A massive one.
They always told Kei to stay away from the kelp forest.

Summary
Before he met Kuroo and Bokuto, Tsukishima didn’t think he’d ever fall in love again. He couldn’t have known he’d fall for two people at the same time and he certainly couldn’t have predicted that the two he’d fall for would already have each other.
OR “Both of them,” Tsukishima repeats. He hadn't realized that he could want- that he could actually have- oh. It suddenly occurs to him that he’s been an idiot.

Summary
It’s not August 7th in particular that sucks so much, Tsukishima explains, bored and dispassionate with his arms crossed over his chest as he seethes at the coffee maker as if it has, personally, wronged him. It’s more that it’s a Tuesday so it’s mediocre by default. It’s a day stuck in the frustrating valley between signing his V-League contract and getting to play. The weather is viciously humid, the heat unrepentant, the tar gluing the streets of Sendai together sticks to the soles of his shoes if he’s not careful to avoid it.
Oh, and that pesky thing where it won’t stop being August 7th.

Bad weather during training camp leaves Kuroo and Tsukishima trapped in a bathroom together. They banter, they flirt, they gossip, and Kuroo gives Tsukishima ‘The Talk’ (or part of it, anyway.) But what will it take for them to let down their guard and be honest with each other?Or, the 10 pages of Kuroo and Tsukishima dialogue that literally no one asked for; the several pages of, um, other stuff that EVERYONE asked for; the Bokuto & Akaashi & Tsukishima & Kuroo banter that we all long for; and the two sweet bonus scenes we didn’t know we needed.

It’s Bokuto who catches his attention, gold eyes are wide, lip trembling. There’s such raw hope in his expression that a lump rises in Tsukishima’s throat. Out of sight, Yamaguchi lays a hand on his friend’s back. The blonde opens his mouth to reply, unsure of what he even wants to say.

Summary
Atsumu has always been weak to Kita (a sentiment shared by his brother and Sunarin). It doesn’t help when he owes his career to the man who practically held his hand through the marine biology degree, as he couldn't even tell salmon and tuna apart unless they were presented to him as sashimi.
So when Kita makes a fateful phone call and ropes their trio into a mission whereby they have to stop a monster from terrorising a local lake, Atsumu expects an overgrown fish. A fish with hands, if that makes it any better. Certainly not the creature thought to only exist in tragic fairy tales and the fantasies of touch-starved sailors who find solace in sea cows.
Good thing the creature doesn’t seem to mind Atsumu too much—Osamu not finding his dead body at the bottom of the lake is an encouraging start.
Everything’s peachy, he guesses. Except that falling for his new acquaintance has never been on Atsumu's agenda.
Things become complicated when your love interest has an entirely distinct set of limbs from hips down, makes noises that only Aquaman can understand, and considers offering regurgitated fish to be the pinnacle of romance.

“What, you think I’m too stupid to understand English?” He hisses in French, taking a step back."
