Summary
There's a rare lull in Aloy's life after the events in the Burning Shores have settled, leaving her with the time to do something she's been putting off. As she heads east to carry news both good and ill to the Nora War-Chief, she struggles with her own grief and frustration. An unexpected companion finds her close to where she first met Red Teeth - and her own answer to Nil's offer of companionship surprises them both. A journey that she thought would be filled with nothing but regret and sorrow quickly becomes so much more with him by her side.

This fic is a continuation of the Focus on the Heart fan-made visual novel - specifically, the worst possible ending on the Nil route. I highly suggest that you play the game with this ending before reading, as this fic picks up right where the game leaves off.
