Summary
Leo thought he had time to recover after the invasion, but he and Donnie are soon separated from their brothers when they step into a portal linked to a different Kraang—a Kraang from another world. They find themselves in a parallel universe, meeting their counterparts from a much duller version of their own world. Together, they must fight to defeat their shared enemy and find a way back home.
…And Leo would do whatever it takes to triumph over the Kraang, even if it means facing endless, cynically designed trials again and again.

Summary
Shion is from the Gold District, an affluent community built on the backs of the residents of the poverty-stricken border areas where Nezumi is from. Nezumi joins the Resistance Force, a group determined to reverse the inequalities between the privileged residents of the Gold District and the suffering inhabitants of the border areas. In the Resistance Force, Nezumi's newest responsibility is housing an unruly hostage taken from the Gold District - and his hostage is, of course, Shion.
