He wonders if Kuzuya is as lonely as he is, when left alone with his own thoughts for too long. Wonders what he thinks of when he checks the calendar and sees the holidays approaching, knowing there’s no one in his family home to go back to. He probably doesn’t think anything, Kasuya convinces himself as he swallows another tasteless bite. His mind is too full of dicks to entertain sad thoughts. He remembers Kuzuya’s free-spirited smile this morning, the way he casually adjusted his tie, and suddenly the fabric feels too tight around his throat.
“Right,” Uzukami adds, a rare frown wrinkling his usual poker face. “Good thing he’s got you, Kasuya-senpai.” Yuji nods along and they both look at him like he’s finally worth some respect. He’d be infuriated if he didn’t feel so bad.
“Yeah,” he musters a cocky smile with great effort. “Y’all are lucky to have me.”
