Lizzie sighed, crossing her arms, a form of resignation. Joel placed a hand on her shoulder, though he had to stand to do so. They exchanged some words that Jimmy hoped were of good will before sitting back down in their respective seats.
“If that is all settled, then GeminiTay and Solidarity will be sent over to visit Rivendell in the morning. I hope you two can spend the night here and we can prepare together?” Katherine glanced towards the two and Jimmy scrambled to nod, not realizing she had been talking to him.
“Then that is all, I declare this meeting over. Solidarity and GeminiTay can return to their empires momentarily to pick some things up if needed."

As Jet Star sat on the ground, wrist caught in his sleeping friend’s vice grip, he reflected on the past few days.
It had been the worst few days of his whole entire life.
It all started, as it always does, with Party Poison almost getting ghosted. Not that that’s a rare occurrence or anything, but usually they shake it off with a sharp laugh (even if the accompanying smile didn't quite reach their eyes) and forge ahead.
This time was different.

Jet is always the one who fixes the problems— that's his job. Or, at least that's what he tells himself. But what happens when it just all becomes too much? With Party down for the count after a particularly traumatic run-in with Korse, Jet is left to put out all of the resulting fires— even if it means ignoring his own needs. But everybody's gotta break eventually.
