Blowing out the candle by the bed leaves them in almost complete darkness, the rain smattering hard against the window, wind howling around the corners of the building. All things considered, it is worth it.
Geralt lies facing Jaskier, hands tucked under his cheek, watching him through the darkness. He wonders if Jaskier knows that he can see him, watch him back. Probably not.
“I’m sorry for dragging you into this,” he says quietly, and Jaskier waves a hand dismissively between them.

It’s funny, but it twists something in his chest.OR; this author imagined what it would be like to be on the recieving end of a hickey, especially if you were pining your ass off after the one giving it, but pretending not to.

Summary
The Witcher’s heart stopped for a mere half of a second before it picked up speed that had him feeling almost human. The first thought that crossed Geralt’s mind was Neirblath and the second was an attempt to push and shove that first thought aside because he had not seen evidence of Neirblath in nearly three hundred years. The world was larger and not every iteration would appear on the Continent. Still, Geralt had often concluded that Neirblath’s influence on his life had run its course after the second convergence.
“My name is Jaskier,” Jaskier offered.
“Geralt,” the Witcher replied.
Jaskier’s eyes darted down to the book of poetry before him before gazing back up with even wider eyes. “Wow, this is not a coincidence, is it?”
With an almost suffering sigh, Geralt shook his head, “No.”
The man bit his bottom lip hard as he stared at Dandelion’s tome. “I did my entire dissertation on Dandelion’s two tomes."A story in which Jaskier and Geralt's souls are bonded for eternity. Geralt has lived through many of Jaskier's lives and after 300 years of nothing, he suddenly appears, and Geralt wants nothing more than to have him again. Especially when he realizes Jaskier wants him too.
