You might not die at the same time either, in fact that's rarely the case.

This fic will forever have a chokehold on my heart. Ghost being Soap's unlikely savior when the odds are so, so fucking bleak... Soap eventually worming his way into Ghost's heart... Ghost's depression when Soap leaves only for Soap to come BACK for him!!! Augh!!! It was such a bittersweet ending, the two of them leaving the cabin, because on one hand I love that they went to civilization so to speak, but... That cabin was home, man, oh my god. This is such a masterpiece. I hope I can write something even half as good someday.

“Out, get the fuck out,” he snapped again, jabbing a finger in the direction of the door for emphasis.
John only hesitated for another second, his face turning red and obviously mortified, before he seemed to hunch in on himself and scurry towards the door.
He let himself out without another word, leaving Ghost in blissful silence again – finally.
