Including finally doing something about his terrible track record in the kitchen and learning to cook and subsequently inviting Snufkin to dinner to show off his new skills.
If anyone asks, he'll claim the romantic lighting was entirely necessary. Snufkin doesn't much like synthetic lighting after all, and he'll do anything to make him comfortable.
