Summary
In 1983, months before Will Byer's disappearance, Steve Harrington goes missing.
It's not big news and the police say they know where he's gone, but they won't share anything else. It's something Steve is grateful for. After all, if anyone found out he was in a group home for troubled and unwanted kids, rooming with one Eddie 'The Freak' Munson, he'd never be able to go back.
But as Eddie pushes his buttons and his therapist forces him to untangle some of his twisted thoughts and memories, Steve realizes maybe--just maybe--he doesn't want to go back to normal.

“Two shots ring out! BAM!-then a pause-BAM! Mike’s head snaps towards the sound, squinting his eyes to orient himself to the darkness. A guttural, pained wail echoes through the trees as if some forsaken wraith howls at him in this lonely forest, it’s voice sounding all too familiar. Then, a loud screeching roar follows close behind it. Another shot! Mike sucks in a wretched, frightened breath, his heart thrashing in his chest so hard that it feels as if it might shatter his ribs. Dread settles sickeningly in his belly.

There was a post that went "Mike has his own sexuality journey separate from realizing he's in love with Will" so I took that and ran with it
Starts right after s3 -> Mike has his "oh shit im gay" moment -> pines after Will -> major miscommunication and gay stupidness ensues 😄
