Yuuji Itadori was fucked.
Absolutely, supremely, inexplicably fucked.
Genuinely, totally, super-duper fucked.
Super fucked.
Because standing in the very not-destroyed, dense streets of Shibuya, lined with the bright colors of department stores, hotels, tourist attractions, and advertisements plastered across every available space, Yuuji did not have Choso as support. He didn't have Fushiguro as support. He didn't even have Okkotsu as support.
Yuuji was inconceivably, utmostly, wholly, not-awesomely fucked because he was in the year 2005.
🔴 OR: Stuck over a decade in the past, Yuuji has resolved to do anything to ensure his future doesn't come to be.
It would really be a lot easier if Geto Suguru wasn't so overbearing, if Gojo Satoru wasn't such an asshole, if Ieiri Shoko stopped instigating things, and if Yuuji were just a tiny bit smarter.
But, he was on his own, so damn it if he wasn't going to work with what he got.

“Here.”
Junpei jumped in his seat, unaware that he’d been so caught up in his thoughts that he’d missed the sound of Yuji’s approaching footsteps. The quick turn of his head would have Junpei flinching a second time, as he was greeted by the glistening of oil overtop a slice of pepperoni pizza.
“It’s a slice of ‘You survived pizza!’”
“My favorite kind.” Junpei could not match the same enthusiasm that Yuji always seemed to carry. His response was meek, borderline sarcastic, while reaching for the slice and bobbing his head as a silent form of thanks.
“Mine too.” Yuji plopped down beside him, grabbing the last slice of pizza from the box balanced in his other hand. “I’m glad you’re alright. Things got pretty dicey there, but it all worked out in the end.”
❤ Junpei struggles to integrate himself into Jujutsu Tech. Luckily, Yuji is there with him every step of the way.

“Of course I’m sure. Nanamin just has a few questions that need answering for his job. Then he’ll be leaving, then we can have dinner.” Itadori’s confidence was almost as concerning as his knowledge of Nanami’s name. To then twist it into a nickname as if they held any familiarity—Nanami counted himself thankful that Itadori appeared far more cooperative than he expected him to be. Yoshino was ushered deeper back into the home before his friend(?) beckoned Nanami to step aside to allow their conversation to continue with a modicum of privacy.
He then remained silent, hands tucked deep into the front pockets of his pants in wait for Nanami's first question.
“What are you?”
“Tired, mostly.”
❤ Nanami investigates the death of three teenagers within a Kawasaki movie theater. He is not prepared for what else he finds.

Junpei clamped a hand over his mouth upon realizing the words he’d spoken, pulling himself away from Todo with red beaming across his face.
There was no mistaking the name that escaped from his nervous teeth.
Clearly overwhelmed by sharing something so personal and sincere, Todo stifled his own feelings of shock and awe for his best friend to gain the eyes of such a passionate man to place a hand on Junpei’s shoulder and nod along at his answer. He could overlook the lack of physical descriptions, as one name told Todo everything he needed.
“A respectable choice. I promise to keep this information between us. Thank you for your time.”
“Hey guys, what’d I miss?”
❤ Todo learns Junpei's type, and he takes on the responsibility to see if such feelings are reciprocated. A fate would have it, they are, but neither first-year appears to be aware of the other's affection. But no worries, Yuji's best friend and sworn brother has a master plan to open their eyes.
