Unfortunately for Senior Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi, he has crossed the Librarian Protectors of Mandalore. And no one takes his duty to Mandalorian archival integrity more seriously than Jango, the Mand’alor’s son.

Thorne flinches. “Well no offense to you, Kiffar, but this one—” He gestures at Obi-Wan. “Olen broke the rule, pointing a blaster at him, nevermind actually hitting him.”
“The rule?” Obi-Wan asks, flabbergasted. He looks at Quinlan, who is just as baffled.
“I certainly never pointed a blaster,” Thorne continues, loud, as if he’s hoping someone will overhear him.
“Now that you mention it, I am a little offended,” Quinlan says.

She’d heard stories from the men in Torrent when she asked around about how he operated, and it seemed a lot more strict than Rex and Anakin’s usual policies. Fives claimed that when he and Echo first started out Commander Cody used to visit and make them run laps until they almost passed out. Tup said that he heard from one of the 212th shinies that the Commander hated Jedi, and was only putting up with Obi-Wan because he had to. Jesse told her that he would drill new recruits for up to ten hours at a time, putting them through physical and mental hell for a week straight until he was satisfied with their performance.

Summary
asphyxiation (noun): the state or process of being deprived of oxygen, which can result in unconsciousness or death; suffocation.
When Obi-Wan returns to the Negotiator after the Rako Hardeen incident, he does not receive a warm welcome, especially from Commander Cody, who avoids him like the plague. It takes the unexpected medical consequences of his voice-changing to break the stand-off and remind everyone, especially Cody, of what they still might lose.

Summary
After a retreat ending in evacuation, Cody and General Kenobi stay behind with the remaining troopers to wait for the returning transport.
It’s a risk, but Kenobi’s presence guarantees that the transport will return for them, and the droids don’t know they are there. They just have to sit still and wait.
Then, in the interest of full disclosure, Kenobi very apologetically reveals an injury he deliberately kept to himself until the last transport was gone and Cody is confronted with the fact that he and his General might have very different interpretations of what counts as an acceptable risk, at least where it pertains to Kenobi’s life.

The General pops out of the tent, scowling, and hurls a blanket- which Cody recognizes as one from the man's nest- sending a cloud of dust into the air when it lands. Skywalker winces, rubbing the back of his neck.
Cody decides, abruptly, that he is too tired for this and will be spending the night in the medical tent.
He is not quiet enough, obviously, because the General calls out, “Ah, Commander, you’re back! Apologies for all this,” he pauses to send another glare at his former Padawan, “I’ll be finished ridding the tent of foreign stench in a second, and the space will be all yours.”
It is then that Cody realizes his entire life is a fucking joke.
(or, Cody has never given much thought to things such as nesting and courting. This is, as it turns out, a mistake.)
