Summary
You won’t believe how happy the package made me. Sure, it was great to get the things from home but even more – that surprising little note written in your abhorrent handwriting! I wasn’t sure you even still remember how to write like a proper human being… Although, somehow you ended up in college and got the scholarship… They might have made a mistake in their papers but don’t let it dishearten you, Iwa-chan! You can still show them what a good little student you are (and always have been, working so hard, I got all teary-eyed now, my diligent Iwa-chan!) However, your reasoning is lacking as always so I’m going to make a few points...
Iwaizumi sends Oikawa a little note that unexpectedly starts a whole string of correspondence that chronicles the shift in their relationship and the obstacles that living on different continents creates.

Tooru leans into him, a steady comforting presence against Hajime’s side, and Hajime holds onto this moment — grabs it tightly with two hands and allows himself to live in a reality where he has everything. He’ll give in to those unnamed emotions, pulling them briefly to the surface rather than hiding them behind a veil of indifference.
For a moment, he is able to pretend.
