Summary
6 months after confessing to the truth and departing from Faraway, Sunny has been able to maintain a healthy bond with all of his friends. There’s a lot to be done, but it doesn’t seem so impossible anymore.
He still wishes for things to be so much better, especially when it comes to a certain someone.

Summary
Faraway Town no longer offered anything for Sunny. His friends wanted nothing to do with him, and with how quickly word gets around in such a small town there'd be people lining up with pitchforks outside his house in due time. Luckily, he'd be moving to the city, with Faraway seemingly to become a closed chapter of his life.
He expected this change of scenery to let him move on from his old home. This, however, was proven false after he bumped into someone he didn't expect to see ever again. Another shy, raven-haired artist he'd met on his last 3 days at Faraway. -

Sunny spends his time inside lounging around. When he accidentally killed Mari and Basil almost got him to hang her, he locked himself away. Partially due to fear, partially due to guilt and partially due to resent. He would spend the next 4 years spending time on web forums, IRC chats, browsing flash sites and Napster.
When a familiar face brings him out of hiding, he’s faced with reality; suffice to say, he’s not pumped about it.In which Sunny is an edgelord and almost everyone resents him (aside for Kel because he is the best person to ever exist and is incapable of hatred).

The boy has freed himself of his hell and remembered what he did 4 years ago on that fateful day.
With tears in his eyes and a new will to live, Sunny moves out of his bed and into the unknown, ready to finally face the consequences of his actions

If only he knew he had been in a coma for 4 years
If only he knew Mari was still alive.

Set in a universe where the recital pushes through and everyone lives, the friends in Faraway Town are happy with their lives.
All of that would change when the bombs fell.
Follow the story of Sunny and what's left of his friends after a Nuclear War ravages the United States; a long-ish fanfic that will aim to explore a few deeper themes in a post-apocalyptic desolation.

Faraway’s kinda charming...for a suburb. The people are crazy diverse though. They were either too old or too young. Waaaay too friendly or too darn rude! Some of them would celebrate the weather if you gave them a half-decent reason. Others looked like they were one bad day away from dropping dead.It was the kind of town that you’d expect a weirdo like Omori to grow up in...Now he's back, after all this time. Funny how fate works
